Germaine IronLady de Randamie will return six times in the world famous Octagon of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) record of 8-3 and a running victory series of four fights, she continues her hunt for the gold.
Germaine announced the news via social media:
Germaine de Randamie caused a furore in kickboxing for her MMA career. In this discipline she is multiple world champion and has an undefeated record of 37 winning matches against 0 losses. In 2008, the Randamie made its debut in MMA. Like many MMA fighters with a kickboxing past, it was also getting used to the Randamie in this sport. She also lost her debut via a Submission (Armbar) in the first round. In 2013, the Randamie debuted for the UFC after it had taken over Strikeforce. In the UFC she has shown that she can go with the best.
Of the 5 parties for this promotion she lost only 1 and this was against the current Bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes. In 2016 the Randamie fought in Rotterdam and her entrance was one of the highlights of the evening. After giving a penalty expedition to Anna Elmose, the Randamie was allowed to fight for the Featherweight title against Holly Holm. The Randamie won via an Unanimous Decision and could thus call itself the first Women’s Featherweight champion. However, the Randamie was stripped of her call after she indicated that she did not want to fight Cris Cyborg and want to return to Bantamweight. The Randamie would then make her comeback during UFC Rotterdam in September 2017. However, she got injured and the fight against Marion Reneau was canceled.
The Randamie made her comeback against Raquel Pennington after a long injury in November 2018 in Denver. The Randamie was the parent and won the fight via Unanimous Decision.
